Little India of Denver is turning 20 this year! For two decades, we’ve been an integral part of the Denver community. Here’s a little about how far we’ve come, where we are now, and where we plan on going, as well as a very special thank you to those of you who have made it all possible.
Our History
The Baidwan family first opened Little India’s doors two decades ago, in 1998. The decorative art and modern atmosphere were accompanied by fine Indian cuisine and a friendly staff that has made Little India the place to go for a true Indian dining experience. Since its inception, foodies and Indian cuisine lovers alike have been singing Little India’s praises. It didn’t take long for critics to take notice; only a few years later, Westword voted Little India of Denver as not only the best Indian food in the city but also the best lunch buffet, and has done so for the past 16 years!
Today
Little India has always prioritized authenticity and quality. All of our chefs started their careers in India, so you know you’re getting a meal prepared from traditional recipes that have been used for generations. Even our spices come directly from India!
Perhaps these are some of the reasons why we’ve been long recognized as having brought a taste of India to Denver. Some of our most proud moments of recognition include the 5280 Top of the Town Award and the best Indian Food in Denver by the Denver Post’s Dining Guide. Many other publications and websites have recognized Little India for being the best Indian Food Denver has to offer, including Channel 7, the Rocky Mountain News, and City Search.
Our Future
After serving our community for 20 years, Little India of Denver is definitely here to stay. The continued support from our loyal customers as well as from our fantastic staff has made all of our success possible. We would like to say thank you for turning our business into a success story.
